Import from GeoServer¶
Use GeoServer when the data is published as a vector layer.
GeoJibe reads the published service (WFS). It does not open GeoServer's files or connect to the backing database.
You need to be signed in.
Before you start¶
You'll need:
- GeoServer URL, for example
https://maps.example.com/geoserver - Username and password
- A published vector layer
The saved Source is the GeoServer connection. You choose the workspace and layer each time you import or save a Job.
Raster layers are not listed. Use a vector layer.
1. Save the GeoServer Source¶
Open Sources → Add Source → GeoServer.
Enter the URL, username, and password. Click Test, then Save.
2. Add GeoServer on the Canvas¶
Add GeoServer, choose the saved Source or enter the connection, then Connect.
Choose a workspace if you want to narrow the list, then a layer. Click Import.
After Import, Transform and Convert work the same as for an uploaded file.
You can run the workflow once without saving a Job.
3. Process and deliver¶
Add processing if you need it, then a Destination such as Download or PostGIS.
Click Run.
Saved Jobs¶
A saved Job keeps the GeoServer connection and the selected layer. Each run fetches the published layer again.
