Pie Charts¶
Pie charts show how each category contributes to a total.
Goal¶
Create a Pie chart on the report.
Prerequisites¶
- Category and value fields available from the dataset
Steps¶
- Insert a Chart and open the Chart Wizard or Properties.
- Set chart type to Pie (or the closest matching option, such as Horizontal Bar / Stacked Bar when applicable).
- Assign the category field and value series.
- Configure legend, axis titles, and colors.
- Preview.

Result¶
The chart renders in Preview using the bound data.
Tips¶
Warning
Prefer bar charts when you have many slices — pie charts become hard to read beyond a handful of categories.
