MySQL Spatial¶
Use MySQL Spatial for MySQL (or MariaDB via MySQL) spatial columns.
Goal¶
Configure a map that uses the MySQL Spatial source.
Prerequisites¶
- A map element is on the canvas
- Required connections exist in Connection Manager (when applicable)
Steps¶
- Create a MySQL connection.
- Set the map source to MySQL Spatial.
- Select the connection and configure Map SQL.
- Preview.

Result¶
Preview renders features from the MySQL Spatial source inside the map frame.
Tips¶
Tip
Verify SRID definitions on spatial columns if features plot in the wrong location.
