First Launch

The first time you open AcuGIS Report Studio, the Welcome screen helps you start a report quickly.

Goal

Create or open a report and reach the main workspace.

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Launch AcuGIS Report Studio.
  2. Wait for the splash screen to finish loading.

  1. On the Welcome screen, choose one of the following:
Option When to use it
Blank Report Start with an empty layout
Report Wizard Guided setup for page size, connection, and theme
Open Existing Continue work on a saved project
Start from template… Begin from a built-in template

  1. If you choose Blank Report or the wizard, enter a report name when prompted and confirm.
  2. The main window opens with the Data, Design, and Preview tabs available.

Result

You are in the Report Studio workspace and ready to connect data or design the layout.

Tips

Tip

New authors often start with Report Wizard, then refine the layout on the Design tab.

Note

Report projects are stored as a folder containing project.json (the editable project) plus generated report artifacts when you save or compile.
