Map

A Map renders a spatial map frame from the report dataset or an external spatial source.

Goal

Add a Map element to the report and configure it.

Prerequisites

• A report is open on the Design tab
• The target band exists

Steps

1. Select the Map tool.
2. Place the map (or complete the Map Wizard).
3. Choose a map source (Current Report Dataset, PostGIS, GeoServer, WMS, and others).
4. Configure layers, extent, symbology, and labels.
5. Preview the report to render the map image.

Result

The Map appears on the canvas and in Preview according to its properties.
